My parents and brother are here in Vancouver visiting me from Ontario. We went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Whistler after that. Got some new clothes too. My brother is staying with me now while my parents are on the island for today and tomorrow, then we're all going on a cruise to Alaska and back for two weeks. Which means I won't be back until August 2nd. I'm gonna take my brother to the I-Path demo today at Poco, starts at 3.
Here is a list of riders that are coming: Pros: Kenny Reed, Fred Gall, Richie Jackson, Adam Alfaro, Matt Rodriguez Ams: Aaron "Jaws" Homoki, Ben Raybourn, Ryan Lay
It's gonna be sick! Then on Saturday is the Volcom Wild in the Park contest at Poco as well!
If you need to talk to me for whatever reason while I'm gone, text me (won't have internet)... it's on my facebook.
Picked up the film this morning. It was my first time shooting skateboarding with the fisheye and waist level finder. WLF is so nice and bright, but the image is reversed, so it played with my mind a bit. I used Provia 100F. Here's my first two shots:
I was making chicken burgers yesterday. I got the hot sauce out, unscrewed the top, and it squirted me straight in the eye. Right on the eyeball. Worst pain ever. Shot some film today downtown, and yesterday at UBC, I'll get the rolls developed tomorrow morning because they are closed today.
Erika gave me her Holga camera the other day, along with a bunch of sour chews! Thanks bud! Bought a waist level finder for my bronny today off Ryan Walter Wagner. Check out his blog! I also got two Nikon SB-28s, stoked! It's been rainy the past few days, but the sun has come out to play again. If you haven't seen the Nike Debacle video yet, watch it... it's sick! Here it is for you lazy ones:
DC Nationals (Vancouver qualifiers) was going on today, presented by Underworld at Railside skatepark in Port Coquitlam. I went to take some photos, enjoy the free energy drinks/hotdogs, and to see everyone kill it. Lots of sick tricks went down.
