Adam went back to Thunder Bay yesterday to go to the grand opening of the plaza there, and to see family. TJ doesn't come back until the 30th, which leaves me by myself for a few days. My sleep schedule is all out of whack, I woke up at 5am today... ended up cleaning the entire place and doing the stack of dishes. Just woke up from a nice nap, which I probably shouldn't have had, oh well. Skate time.

Just got back from Maple Ridge skatepark. King Of The Concrete contest was going on, presented by Riders Boardshop and Monke Skateboards. Coors Light bus picked us up at Bonsor infront of Push skateshop and we headed out there at 1pm with free beer onboard. Contest started at like 4, then we had to leave at 6:30 because the bus had a tight schedule. Lots of sick tricks were being thrown down, rain stayed away, and the sun came out for most of it. Super fun day!
A few days ago my bank called me and said that someone copied my debit card and pin number and that they had to put a temporary block on my card and that I would need to get a new card. I guess I put my card into an interac machine somewhere, and it scanned my card and remembered my pin number or something, then they tried taking out money. Sketchy. Got it all under control now though.
David Rouleau from Gnarcore.com was super stoked on one of my photos of Mike Klinkhamer and put it up on the site. TJ and I always check out that site for brocklebank edits, so I'm stoked!

Emerica's Wild in the Streets, Go Skateboarding Day was today. The entire team came out yesterday for a signing at Underworld with a Leeside session afterwards.
Who I saw: Andrew Reynolds Bryan Herman Ed Templeton Heath Kirtchart Jerry Hsu Kevin "Spanky" Long Leo Romero Jamie Tawncony Atiba Jefferson, photographer Patrick O'Dell, photographer Beagle, Shake Junt filmer
I'm sure there were others, but I can't recognize everyone. I didn't want to babysit my camera all day, I actually wanted to skate, so I lugged my cell phone camera around instead. 2 megapixels is all the craze! Here's some pics I snapped:

It was a sunny Saturday yesterday, and RDS held a Block Party and Best Line Contest. Cash prizes $500 for 1st, $300 for 2nd and $200 for 3rd place. Live performances by Oakalla And Dj Syd Cee. The Coors Light bus was there, along with the girls. Free beer and pizza never disappoints me. I snapped some pics with my cellphone camera, excuse the quality. Lots of people came out, everyone killed it, and I got to see some old friends!

Went looking for spots yesterday, found some goodies. Hit up 7/11 for a slushie afterwards, new flavour out... strawberry limeade, amazing. Back on May 8th, when we were skating that set, Brian Noppe took some photos of us. He finally got around to sending me the photos, here are some of them:

Skated plaza for a bit with Adam Hopkins, TJ, and Jason. Met up with Adam Dufour, had some costco. Met up with a few guys and re-shot a photo. Then we went with some more people to a fair sized rail, but we got kicked out right away. So we had a chill sesh at the Joyce rail. Shane was climbing a pole near the rail to have a bird's eye view on the sesh, but the cops didn't like it and gave him a ticket (pretty sure they wrote it... they hassled him enough about it). Weirdly, they didn't mind us skateboarding, instead they gave me their contact card and told me to email them the photos that I was taking... they were stoked! Oh, and Matt Macleod, my farmer's tan is ruder than yours.
