Bought a Hasselblad Acute-Matte focusing screen and got it the other day. Split image focusing is going to save my life, and the grid will come in handy. Also bought a Think Tank Airport Security V 2.0 roller bag and some more Nikon SB-28 flashes. Now I can pack lighter and just carry speedlights around instead of hauling the Quantums all the time... they take up half my bag and weigh a fair bit with the battery packs. Really want to get an extension tube (probably 21mm) as well because of the close-focus of the 150mm CF, isn't as close as I would like it.

Few weeks ago some guys from Cochrane, AB stayed at my place. Here they are... probably should have gone in the shade because of the squinty eyes, but... too late:

Here are some photos from the last two rolls I shot... approaching random people is really easy if you say it's for a school project on the neighbourhood... only had one person say no. Used e100vs for the 6x6 and 400nc for the 6x7.

I have the next 3 days off! Been watching this a lot lately, gets me hyped:

Margerita turned 19 two days ago, went out for dinner and drinks. Had a nice time. I've been sick since my birthday (almost two weeks)... sore throat and fever. Ibuprofen has been helping, and I think it's starting to go away today. Go Skateboarding Day is on Monday and I have 3 days off. Been working a lot lately. Here's 3 photos from the first roll with the Mamiya 7 (Kodak Portra 160vc)... the other 7 photos were other takes of Evan's portrait (sb-28 for fill and used the auto setting for the first time). Next roll might be some e100vs long exposures.

I'm 22 today! I have a really sore throat and it is sunny outside, so I'm going to go chill at the beach with some friends and carry a camera around. Going for all day breakfast after that!

Lots of things have been happening lately, just haven't had time to update the blog. Nelson is moving out on the 31st, and Evan Bourque is moving in. My girlfriend's grad is on the 1st, and then my birthday is on the 8th! I am sick today with a sore throat but I have the next 5 days off work, which is weird... the most I've had off is 3 days (been working there for 8 months I think)... time to relax and shoot photos. I just bought a Mamiya 7 off Patrick Driscoll (he sold me a Q-Flash a while back) and also bought a lot of film off B&H... should last me for the summer. Got a UV filter and a circular polarizer filter for it as well. It will be tricky using a polarizer on a rangefinder, I'll just have to make some markings on the ring.

Today is the day I moved to Vancouver two years ago... doesn't seem that long ago! The day I arrived it was 33 degrees out, and today it's raining... and will be for the next week. Bummer. Went shooting yesterday with a few buddies. We didn't go to any secret spots or cop any gnarly hammers... just wanted to focus on my lighting and get dynamic... nobody likes flat light.

As some of you may know, I'm building up an online spot list (multiple angles, directions, ABDs, etc) courtesy of my cell phone camera, so if you wanna go shoot photos let me know... I'm always down!

April Fools Day Wed, Mar 31st, 2010
It's 3am right now. Been playing Skate 2 for hours. I bought a tv yesterday and a xbox with live. Also got internet hooked up yesterday through Shaw... the old wireless signal that I was stealing was starting to crap out on us. Skated at Quilchena two days ago for the first time ever, and saw a few buddies I haven't seen in a while. Saw Alice in Wonderland, and went to Bon's for breakfast the other day, and old roommates TJ and Jen were there, which was funny because I was going snowboarding with TJ the next morning. Snowboarding was fun, but it started to get really crappy out (hail, rain, wind). Gonna shoot some skateboarding on Saturday... it's been a while.

I'm back! Well... I've always been here but the website was down for 2 weeks or so. I stopped paying for my server because it was $150 a month, I've had it since grade 10, and my other website isn't bringing much money in anymore, so I decided to sell it, and move onto a buddies server for free, to host this website.

Lots of things have happened since I last wrote on here. I sold my Bronica/fisheye kit the other day to Dylan Davies, we're both stoked! Oliver is moving out in a few days, he's going to Cali soon for the summer. Nelson Conway is living with me now, which is dope because I'll skate alot more often now... and take photos! Night mission time.

I'm doing a cell phone photo series of people that come into my store wearing K-Way jackets, since I have one myself. I've got around 15 different photos so far, gonna wait until I have lots before I do anything with them. It's kinda awkward asking dudes if I can take a photo of their jacket, I've never been turned down so far though! I've seen them in black, blue, orange, clear, and pink so far! Only happens maybe once a week, if I'm lucky... so it may take awhile.

Been working mornings everyday, which I like because I wake up early, then I have all day afterwards to go shoot photos, or relax. No more closing and then opening!

I'm thinking of taking less hours during the summer, and to focus on photography. I've been saving money lately, so I could coast all summer, and get lots done!

I bought another battery for my digital, the old one was dying out after a few hundred shots... it's getting old from sequences. So now I won't have to worry about it dying half way through the day. My memory card is starting to upload very slow too... veryyy slow, so I'm thinking of picking up a faster card today. They're pretty cheap now compared to when I first got it.

It's spring now, so stoked!
